Traveling through the village of Satul Nou, Moldova, corn stalks were harvested from the fields and piled in the dirt streets.  The seed corn is harvested by hand and shelled by hand.   They use the corn cobs to burn for fuel in their homes.

 

There were many piles of corn stalks in the streets and beside the houses in this village.
