A common mode of transportation in the village of Capaclia is either by walking or by horse and cart.  There are also some automobiles.
Mayor Alexei Busuioc and Elder Kneib signing the clean water agreement on 14 April 2014 to construct the clean water project in the village of Capaclia.  The assistant mayor looks on.  This took place in Elder Kneib's apartment in Chisinau.
The three parties to the Capaclia Clean Water agreement are Lidia Jubea of Spectru (the contractor), Mayor Alexei Busuioc, and Elder Kneib.
During a June 2014 inspection of the project in Capaclia, we saw the preparation of the foundation of the water tower for a concrete pour.  Re-bar is being wired over a layer of gravel in the excavated hole.
Pre-cast concrete cylinders have been brought onto the construction site for the construction of the underground man-holes.
Elder Kneib, Lidia Jubea, and the assistant mayor discussing the progress of the construction of the clean water project.  Doina, our translator, is the other person in the picture.

In the field next to the water project construction, some workers are harvesting some grass hay.

Some of the harvested hay is taken by horse and wagon to where it is stored and used.

The sign outside the mayor's office in the village of Carahasani gives all of the statistics of the village, which located south of Chisinau about 5 km from the Ukraine border.

On 24 April 2014, Mayor Vladislav Cociu of Carahasani and Elder Kneib sign the clean water agreement where the Church is donating the new plastic pipe and manholes for the renovation of the water distribution system in the village.

In April, the contractor was already busy laying plastic water pipe down a village street.  The old pipe was metal and rusted and corroded.

On 16 June 2014 in the office of the Mayor, the clean water agreement for the village of Selemet was signed by Mihail Cebotarenco of the contractor Alexdan SRL, Elder Kneib, and Mayor Tatiana Badan.  The church is donating over $100,000 for the drilling of a deep well, construction of a water tower, and installation of distribution water pipe.  The village is responsible for all other costs.

The main street in the village of Selemet after a rain.  Notice the concrete electric line posts.
A side street in the village of Selemet.  There are no paved streets.  Notice a satellite dish in the front of the nearby house.
Another view of the satellite dish and the village of Selemet.
On another side street of Selemet, we run into a flock of sheep keeping the grass mowed.
We did not want to go any further on this street, for fear that we might not get back out.
The only sure way of getting around on the wet streets of Selemet is with this horse pulling your cart.
This is the same horse as above.  Notice the wheels of the cart do not seem to be aligned properly.
